Since the topic of voting has come up in the letters section, it must be mentioned that the current administration has convinced 10 states so far to release voter rolls of names with personal data. For the first time in history, the present federal government intends to require states to remove people from voter rolls within 45 days of such notice, even though there are laws against that. Voter fraud is virtually absent, but sadly there are ongoing federal attempts to dictate to states who gets to vote, as described in many sources, such as the Feb. 5 report from the Brennan Center for Justice.
